Seoul] Universal Music Korea (UMK), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world leader in music-based entertainment, has exclusively signed singer-songwriter LIM KIM.
Known for her unique voice, genre-defying sound, and bold visual identity, LIM KIM has established herself as a versatile presence in Korea’s music, fashion, and cultural scenes. She debuted in 2011 as a member of the duo group Togeworl (투개월) through Superstar K3, making it to the Top 3.
In 2013, she launched her solo career with the EP A Voice, whose title track “All Right” topped the charts. That same year, she won Rookie of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards, Melon Music Awards, and Gaon Chart K-POP Awards. In 2019, under the name LIM KIM, she made a striking transformation with the single “SAL-KI,” embracing a bold new sound and concept. Her EP GENERASIAN redefined East Asian female identity through electronic and hip-hop elements, earning her Best Dance Electronic Album and Song at the 17th Korean Music Awards. Her artistry continued to resonate in 2023 when GENERASIAN tracks “YELLOW” and “YO-SOUL” were featured as mission songs on Mnet’s Street Woman Fighter 2, choreographed by the renowned 1MILLION Dance Studio. This collaboration extended into 2024 with 1MILLION choreographing for her single “ULT (궁).”
Beyond music, LIM KIM has emerged as a fashion and beauty icon. From becoming the face of beauty brand HERA in 2021 to gracing editorials for COSMOPOLITAN and Singles, and attending events for Samsung BESPOKE, DIOR, and WOOALONG, she continues to showcase her unique creative presence across industries.
