Bvlgari continues to build on its long-standing Eau Parfumée line with Thé Impérial, a new interpretation that feels both familiar and quietly refreshed.

Marking over three decades of collaboration with Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier, the fragrance revisits the house’s signature tea compositions, this time with a focus on black tea and citrus. Like Thé Vert and Thé Blanc before it, Thé Impérial is reintroduced as an eau de toilette — lighter, more wearable, and suited to everyday rhythm.

The composition centres on Sri Lankan black tea, extracted using a low-temperature method that preserves its natural character. It opens with citrus — lemon, mandarin and bergamot — before settling into something warmer and more rounded. The result is not sharp or overly bright, but balanced, with a soft, almost diffused finish that lingers without becoming heavy.

There’s also a subtle narrative behind it. The name “Impérial” draws on the historical exchange between East and West — tea from China, citrus from the Mediterranean — but the fragrance doesn’t lean too heavily into storytelling. Instead, it keeps things restrained, letting the ingredients speak for themselves.

Eau Parfumée Thé Impérial Collection

The design follows the same direction. The flacon remains close to the collection’s original codes — clean lines, a quiet sense of structure — with warm orange tones that reflect the blend inside. Details, from the Roman coin-inspired cap to the botanical illustration, add texture without overcomplicating the look.

Alongside the fragrance, the collection extends into bath and body — a shower gel and lotion designed to layer the scent more subtly into daily routine. It’s a continuation of Bvlgari’s hospitality concept, bringing something of the hotel experience into a more personal setting.
