Manteigaria, the Lisbon-born bakery renowned for its Pastéis de Nata, is preparing to open its first Hong Kong flagship in Central, with a soft opening on 26 May at 3:00pm and a grand opening in early June.

While the doors are not yet open, anticipation is already building. Known for elevating the iconic Portuguese tart through artisanal precision and complete transparency, Manteigaria brings with it a simple promise: every Pastéis de Nata is crafted, baked, and served throughout the day, ready to be enjoyed at the very moment it leaves the oven. To mark its grand opening on 2 June, Manteigaria will be sharing its craft with the city in the most direct way possible. On the day itself, 300 freshly baked Pastéis de Nata will be offered to the public, as an open invitation for Hong Kongers to enjoy a first taste of Portugal, right in the heart of Central.

Each batch will be announced by the ringing of a bell, a tradition carried from Lisbon that signals the arrival of something warm, fresh, and ready to be shared.
